Good DCB-MIDI summary, but you're only mentioning the digital bits, ehrm sorry
about that :)

The JP8 flavour of DCB has - as seen on
<http://machines.hyperreal.org/manufacturers/Roland/Juno/info/roland.DCB.txt> -
ordinary analogue CVs running at pins 9 to 14. Even you have no wish to include
these in a MIDI->DCB interface you probably should have them mentioned on your
page. I have no JP8 but as I understand it these CVs are not multiplexed per
voice so they affect the entire synth. Hopefully someone here at SDIY should be
able to confirm this.

If you plan a MIDI->DCB interface, I suggest you make it a both way conversion. I
also have a MD-8 and even if crashes pretty often it is really nice to have the
ability to play the J60 back to MIDI. I don't know enough about the '90s8515'
processor to say anything about it but I do know that a PIC could be taught to do
a good interface. You might even spice it up with an octave switch, a chord
memory and perhaps some other key processing.
