Right you are. (The early polysynths weren't multitimbral. Oberheim n-Voice
was either multitimbral or with patch storage, even a mix of both, but
not both at the same time.)

Must be ages since I used a multitimbral synth.
Guess I'm living in a different world. (;->)
In my world, multitimbral does not make sense unless you have a dedicated
set of front panel elements for each timbre ...
