OK - apparently this did not get thru the first time....I'm new :
Most of what is on this list may be out of my league but I am desperate for
solutions/answers/ideas etc for my problem:
I have a keyboard from an old Chilton/Orchestron.....It has "j-wire/buss
board" type connections and I would love to turn it into a controller for my
modcan modular synthesizer. It *seems* like it is possible to achieve this,
but I am not sure how to do it or where to begin. I once made a "joystick
device" (see The Analog Cottage website for more information - I noticed MECI
joystick topics on here recently - I got both the metal and mushroom parts!)
and was wondering (for those who may be familiar with such things) if some of
those ideas may be used in my keyboard idea....Such as somehow using the
keyboard to trigger the modcan via banana jack gate outs and CV outs as
well.....At this point, I may be willing to send the keyboard to someone and
see if it can be done, have them build the device, etc....or whatever else
can be worked out. Bottom line: I simply need a decent controller for a
modular synth and I "think" I have some parts that can be used for just that.
But now, I need the guidance of a willing hand.....
ANY suggestions welcome, seeing that I simply do not know where to begin.
Thanks,
jm - the "jason" at the Analog Cottage joystick project page, for those "in
the know" or whatever.....tis been a long time.
