[sdiy] ASM1 Parts In OZ

Well, I'm about as far from Australia as is possible, But I think I may
be able to help.

As far as the MAT-02s go, an LM394 (much easier to find) can be used
(Magnus D. told me this)

According to the ASM-1 site, the Tempcos aren't absolutely necessary,
but do help with stability. Perhaps you could install a regular 1k metal
film resistor for now and change it later?

Still trying to get the ASM VCO to work myself, still don't think I'm
wiring the LM311 properly.

Subject: [sdiy] ASM1 Parts In OZ

Hello All
I need the help of the Australian
list members. It's come time to
finish my ASM1, lack of money
has put this off for some time,
but I'm having trouble finding any
2N4856's (or any equiv.), tempco's
and MAT-02's (though this doesn't
surprise me living in Melbourne).
Trying to avoid US mail order as it's
pretty expensive for so few parts.
I can get LM394CH's easy, but I take it
that the BE diodes makes this unusable?
Also having trouble finding a source with
a wide range of good caps (styrene, carbonate etc.)
Having this unfinished is starting to get
a little frustrating, and I also need it finished
so I can build a CV keyboard as my major
micro project for my course. Any help will
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Marcus
