[sdiy] ASM-1 VCO LM311 Question

Maybe obvious but i'll check N-E-way:

Pin 1 of the LM311 goes to ground on the datasheet

do i have to tie pin 1 to ground as well, in the ASM-1 VCO?

Also, i detected an (non significant) error in the VCO schem pdf

from pin 7 of the LM311, a resistor goes to ground, 3k3

R18 to be precise, but this already exists:

R18 from LM311 pin 2, to CA3140 pin 6...

is this error of ehhh "hazard" to the VCO's workings?
