There is always the crude way of doing it using extra capacitors and diodes
in the classic voltage multiplier config. I have got +/-15 volts from a low
voltage AC plug pack doing exactly that. Mind you, what you spend on extra
parts would probably be the same as bying the correct beast in the first
place. If the PlugPack/wallwart is DC, forget it.
