[sdiy] vero board layout software? (newbie stuff)

I've been playing with Stripboard Magic a bit here, pretty good.
Question though, when using Dual-inline ICs, it indicates that you need
to make a break in the copper strip underneath (understandable of
course). Is there an easy way to do this? I would imagine etching isn't
the way to go about it, that's to whole point to using stripboard. Could
it be burnt away with a soldering iron? I've done some nasty damage with
mine in the past (unintentionally of course) but never really made a
full blown break in a copper trace.

Also, have any of you who have ran the software have trouble using the
help file?

Dave

Take 50 print-tracks, line em up parralel with about ZERO parasitic
capacitance, and drill holes in the tracks on 2.54mm raster

thats veroboard.... really, the guy who invented THAT,
(long time ago, i've got books from library dating 1980, b4 i was
born, that implemented simple electronics like a flip-flop with 2
tranny's, caps 'n' 6V lamp, ON VEROBOARD) SHOULD RECEIVE A PRIZE FOR
ULTIMATE D.I.Y bare nexxesarities...

wanna ascii art?

(one track) put this under each other 50 times and you have veroboard

- is track edges
. is drilling hole
