For stuff under about 5 pounds, you can hardly beat the post office rates
for 2-3 day priority mail.  The nice thing is they have about 10-12
different size boxes, packaging tape and all for FREE.  If you need just a
few you can get them at the post office.  But, I order them from their web
site and packages of  unfolded boxes show up at my doorstep in a few days
free of charge.  In many cases (1 to 2 lbs) you are shipping the package for
about the same price you woudl pay for an empty box if you were to buy them
locally.
