Trouble with this list is you can guarantee that someone, somewhere will
just take your word and actually try it out (vacuum-tube ladder filter
anyone?)  I'm just waiting for the spark-gap VCO ....

Yep, been there, got anoyed at digital scopes, thrown them across the lab,
etc etc.

One cool guy indeed, way ahead of his time.  Even today, with all our
high-tech gizmos and years of advancement and we're still fighting to get
close to the Shannon bound.  *sigh*
