Hey Gene,

Thanks for pointing out the article.  I found it online here:

(I grinned reading the first sentence which mentions the Fry's store
in Palo Alto.  I live about a mile from that store.  It's absolutely
true; Fry's used to be a great place to by components of all types and
now it's moved more toward appliances.)
