[sdiy] IC speed terminology

This "video storage and display" chip is a VLSI circuit in PLCC
package.

The two Matra Harris produced versions I know run at 10 MHz at 5
volts (tweaking the supply voltage can change this by 5% +/-) / 20
MHz video clock which is indicated by suffix '-3', respectively 11
MHz/ 22 MHz video clock/ suffix '-4'. I need to know about the suffix
'-4S' (S, not 5).

I have seen Intel produced versions (which use the same masks and are
precisely the same chips) with suffixes '-10' and '-14'. The two
manufacturers use different nomenclature for the package prefix so I
assume the speed terminology differs too. It doesn't make sense to me
how 3 & 4 correspond to 10 & 14.

The Matra data sheet does not describe a way to decode the suffix in
general, only the two versions mentioned above. I can send it to
anyone who thinks they might be able to find out.

Thank you kindly

Sebastian Kuehnl
