[sdiy] Kick Drum schematics/ drum synthesis

Two tips for making interesting (I'm not sying realistic) drum
sounds:

I always read about feeding filters with sharp transients to create
percussive sounds, but never about doing so with a phaser?
Corresponding to the number of active stages, it will give a much
more complex basic sound, and if it's a model that can be frequency
modulated (like Wiard, or, less because of the slow vactrol response,
Serge) the possibilities go far beyond those of using a filter.
Sounds can range from clave-like clicks to something like striking a
large plastic barrel...

Also, many classic drum synth sounds comb involve filter feedback to
simulate a slight trail of tight echo/reverb like it occurs in the
body of a drum. This would be a small part of the additional noises
that have been mentioned as being crucial to realistic drums sounds.
