[sdiy] Building a Modular- Paia vs. Blacet, others?

This has probably already been discussed, but I just signed up. I'm thinking 
of building a modular from kits. I'm looking for opinions on Paia and Blacet 
and maybe others which I am unaware of. I'm leaning towards Blacet at this 
point. I'd like the system to be versatile, strange as possible and easy to 
add to. I'm concerned about panel sizes, power supplies and MIDI interfaces. 
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
