As a guitarist, you can guess which approach *I* prefer <bg>

Fuzzface is radical buzzer, as most of the opamp/two diodes in
feedback or at the output. I had fuzzface built in my Crumar
el. piano. On single notes it sounded exciting, with some filtering
very powerfull, but the moment you hit some chord it gets too
saturated and mushy, not useful at all. Maybe it sounds good at
guitar riffs but in a polysynth hardly. You'll end up lowering
input signal or cct gain to the min. It could be useful in the
monosynth before the filter.
wah wah is nice little thingie that gives that voodoo child
mega sound to the guitar but sounds thin on synth, but most
of the SVFs have BP mode which is essentially the same sound.
Can be usefull. I built small twin tee wah/wah in my forementioned
Crumar, it's good but not as dramatical.
Still, filtering fuzzface with ww still sounds like a bee in metal
canister... With similar level of usefuleness imho...
