If surplus gear is readily available, go looking for a used Lambda. or B&K. 
Much cheaper than buying a new supply. I use one somebody gave me that goes 
from 0-50V and has nice picture of a human-like robot on the front with the 
phrase "Robotic Current Limiter". I can't remember the manufacturer right now.
