[sdiy] Bench Powersupplies

I have a dedicated bench supply, +/-15 & +5, each voltage at
two amperes. It is home built and I've used it for almost 20
years. I have used batteries on occasion. I regularly
build supplies for final products with wallwarts (I have
a serious collection of ones people gave me or were trashing
because the unit they powered no longer works, or is obsolete).
I would say I never tap power from an existing synth PSU unless
I am installing a mod or small addon. I do this at the final
stage of building, after I've verified the device works with
a separate supply and some signal source other than the synth
(like a bench signal generator).
