I did this for my JX3P (description on
http://www.fa.camelot.de/diy/jx3p/jx3p_mod.htm). The same modification
is also possible for the PolySix.

Another kind of synths that give nice stereo synthesis are the Ensoniq
of the SQ class. The have a VCA with panned stereo out. Also you can use
a double mode. There are nice four voice sounds with stereo floating
filtersweeps...
