I think Orgon Systems used pcb material (presumably copper clad fibre-glass) covered
in a self-adhesive labelling material for their module front panels.   Unfortunately their web 
page is now empty so I can't check.

I assume you were thinking about etching labelling into the copper directly using the
blue based boards Elektor use?
