Turkey, panels and boxes are the topic for me this weekend.

For working on panels I use:
Stainless Steel Dial Caliper; set it then use it to scribe lines on panels.
A vernier caliper will work just as well.
Tri-square
Carbide Tip Scribe; clean, sharp lines.
Automatic center punch; push-snap, no hammer required.
Small table top drill press.
Step Drills; very hard, high Rockwell rating, clean holes. I was a skeptic
until I tried them.
Punch Number 5 Junior; fast, clean holes.

Those of you just starting out, you don't need to buy everything at once.
For each project I add a tool budget. Over time you will accumulate a
collection of quality tools. Quality tools will last a lifetime. Some of my
tools are decades old. For example, the No. 5 Jr. is nearly 50 years old.
