It's probably pretty accurate, as it wil just sit and wait
for a fixed period of time, while counting peaks.
So the higher your freq, the more accurate it gets.
(remember hearing pitch is logarithmic, so 1 hertz off @ 2000 Hz
won't bother you too much, while at 50Hz.......)
It won't be to accurate on changing (natural) pitches.

Voila. Even a solution for the bass.
Lucky you.
My freq counter only counts on a .5 second time base, and it's not
exectly portable with 19", 3 HE units high and slightly under 20Kgrams.
But it has beautiful glowing tube display (which is my major reason to
count freqs :-)
