Ive thought about doing a sequencer, many times.. Never seem to get round to
it :-)
Have a look on my site (www.modulus.wavesynth.com) and you'll find some AVR
MIDI projects..

It shouldn't be too hard, depending on what you want/expect.....
If its a fairly simple effort then a 90s8515 will be enough, however if you
want something more complex then a MEga103/128 might be needed...
