The Polymoog keyboard ist one of the best non wood keyboards I know. But you may
have to be accustomed to play a real piano keyboard. If you are playing only
synthesizers with plastic keys it may be a littlebit exhausting ;)

Surely the springs and the bus wires might need cleaning. 

Maybe it is easier to replace them. I do not remember the schematics exactly,
but there was something to trim the velocity sensing. This circuit exists three
times (as the keyboard PCB is split mechanically into three sections) Also the
seating of the voicecards may influence the response to the velocity, if the
connectors are corroded.
