Well, being in the utility business, I have plenty of "smoke letting"
experiences that are so off topic I won't even start here. I am responsible
for putting all new stuff in service. So, occasionally, I get to discover
infant mortality on a large scale. Some of the best (worst) involve
capacitors.
I recently made a positive discovery at Wal-Mart. In my line of business we
always wear safety glasses, along with other protective equipment. And, now
that I am getting up there in years, I find I need prescription eyewear.
Mostly, I wear contacts, and use regular safety glasses over them. However,
sometimes I find that I want to work without contacts (mowing the grass or
such) and thought full coverage, with side-shield, safety prescription
glasses would be the ticket.
I found that Wal-Mart reduces the price of their single vision polycarbonate
lenses to only $10 per lens if they are going in safety glasses. And, they
sell the safety glasses frames (full wrap arounds) similar to what many of
our companies provide and promote, for only $9.97. So, for $29.97, I got a
nice pair of great prescription safety glasses. Normally, those poly
carbonate lenses are significantly more expensive.
Warning, these glasses make one specific fashion statement: "GEEK"

Who understands that the two opposing forces of capacitor tank charge and
external 60 Hz cannot conjoin without incident. :)
