Metallic copper isn't too bad for you, but the salts of copper
ARE toxic, unless you're a Vulcan or octopus (?). Not like arsenic,
but it isn't stuff you'd want in your back yard, or in your kitchen.
Really, do yourself a favour and have a shop do it for you.
Your time costs more than theirs.
