The Open Source synth is a cool idea... though I think this is pretty much
what is going on here already, isnt it?

on another note, the title made me think of linux open source software
synths... there is already a project (called Quasimodo) that fits this
description... if anyone is interested in that sort of thing.  just thought
Id mention...
