[sdiy] beginner

I was wondering if anyone can introduce me to the theory of building an
analog synthesizer. I've read almost every DIY site on the web, but none of
them seem to go deep enough on the theory/design of a synth (or sometimes
too deep). I'm currently in electrical engineering (still in university), so
I have some knowledge in electronics (but propably not enough). I would
really appreciate if someone can go into depth (or send me documents) on how
every module works. Since I'm a beginner at this, I will start will
something simple like the ASM-1. The reason I need to go into depth with
these modules, is because I might make my own modifications.

I thank you all in advance.
