As the 8048 has an internal ROM you can not write your own program into
this chip.
You need an 8748 or 8749 chip with an eprom (and window for erasing with
UV-light).
I should have the datasheet for the 8048 series if you need and also
assembler and tools.
But maybe it is easier to use an 8051 derivate as the 8048 has no serial
interface
built in but the 8051 has... And the 8051 series supports more memory,
more IO,...
