[sdiy] kits in yurop

i was looking at some kit-selling sites, for example i would have really
liked to buy a fatman for xmas (very cheap), but it is based in usa, so
is there anything for the same price i could buy in europe? i know i can
always order synths from usa with a credit card, but the problem is i
haven't one... so is there anything i can pay to the postman? (i use to do
so when i buy items in italy, dunno if it can be done from other eu
countries). oh, and another question, i'm wondering if these kit synths
are good for live performance, i mean, do they have memories to
store the parameters or do you have to play with knobs? and if this is
the case, how
can you quickly go from
one instrument to another while you are playing?
