And if they do ship from the US, you might get stung...
I bought 4 ICs from Jameco, at a cost of $17
Shipping by UPS was a ridiculous $30 or so. I was desperate so I paid it
anyway.
UK customs slapped another 11 ukp on the price for tax (nearly 100% based on
the value of the goods - how do they work that out ?)
But the best bit was UPS - they charged another 10 ukp 'brokerage fee' for
charging me the import tax on behalf of UK customs.
What a bloody con - they charge you $30 to ship from the US to the UK, then
charge you an extra hidden fee for actually bringing it into the country.
B*stards !
