I'd bet the one with the lower resistance (impedance) is the drive coil.

If your meter will not read that low... try adding a series resistor,
drive the
coil with a sine wave (say 1KHz) and measure the voltage drop across
the resistor.

Use ohms law to find the current... then solve for the unknown (coil)
impedance.

BTW most Fender springs have RCA jacks and the case is labeled IN/OUT
its stamped in the metal and very hard to read on an old unit.
