IMHO we can tolerate some of that stuff. I don't like the list to
totally go off into DSP land, but some of the stuff is for me totally
legit and we actually have discussed digital filters and filter
theory, impulse responces, cross-correlation etc. here. I think that
if you actually toss together hardware and software to a synth or
sufficiently audio-related, it is still valid here. We should take
care not to loose the audience, but I don't think we desperately need
to form a new list just for the purpose. I know that many people learn
just by lurking around and reading stuff. The wider we spread our
discussions and also show that simple methods is at hand, the more
people can understand. We sometimes deviate into way more offtopic
stuff than I consider cooking a synth in a microprocessor is or ever
was. I also think it is good to have it in there, to bring in some
contrast.
