own workbench!
Well, over the years I have built a few, starting when I was about 12, with
my dad helping me. At one point I even used an old wooden TV cabinet for a workbench.
My current bench is all 2X4 construction, screwed together for easy modification
(NO nails!), with a big slab of 1 1/2 inch surplus laboratory epoxy countertop
that I picked up cheap. It's wired throughout and has a number of (cheap, surplus)
drawer units installed. It's strong enough to support a truck, but the small
removeable carpet on top makes it gentle on equipment as well. At 12 feet by
3 feet, it has grown quite small for my needs, I am considering doubling it's
size!
Take care,
Doug
