Folder Monitoring
If you set QTRgui to monitor a folder, whenever a TIFF image shows up in the folder, QTRgui will automatically print it. The Tools/Monitor Folder menu item will allow you to select a folder to monitor. Click the Monitor Folder menu and you will get a folder browser window. Navigate to the folder you wish to monitor, select it and press the OK button.
The status bar at the bottom off the QTRgui window will show you the name of the folder that is being monitored. To stop monitoring a folder click the Stop Monitoring item of the Tools/Monitor menu.
Part of the processing of files in the monitored folder is to move the file to the “Processed” sub-folder. If the file already exists in the “Processed” folder, a File Exists window will be displayed. You will be given the option of removing the existing file or sequencing the new file. The sequencing option causes a sequence number to be added to the file to eliminate the duplication. You can make your preferred action the default by checking the box which says Use this action for all file exists in "Processed" folder situations. If you cancel this action, of if for any reason QTRgui is not able to move the file, folder monitoring will be suspended.
