= Copy and PC-Backup for Roland S-330, S-550, W30, S-50 Discs =
================================================================

You can copy and make DiscImages with the PC-Atari-Emulator-Program
GEMULATOR 2000. Here are the steps:

- download GEMULATOR 2000 and GemExplorer at www.emulators.com

- install both (for Atari ST of course, you have to download a
TOS-ROM-Image somewhere, type in in search engines)

- in the menu disk-properties mount an (atari) harddrive.

- copy the FCopyPro.prg on a disc (the Gemulator recognizes a HD
Disc) and copy that when started the emulator on the virtual
  Atari-C-Harddrive.

- Start it, insert Roland Sampler-Disc, switch "Image Copy" and
read, name the DIM-File (Image Data) and GO.

- Writing: insert a DD Disc (this method works not with HD Discs)
and choose "Image Copy / Restore" and then the DIM-File of
your Roland-Disc you want to write. It is slow, but working!

- Saving your DIM-Files: start the Gem-Explorer and find your
  Gemulator-Directory, double-click on the "Cdrive.vhd" to
mount. Then you can copy from that the DIM-Files and save them
on CD-ROMS, ZIPs or so. Discs are not reliable, but with this
method you can save your SampleData for good.

- And of course you can trade sounds with that. Enjoy the sounds
from my site, if you have good sounds please mail me if you like
  to trade.

- Geting MS-Dos-Files on your Atari-C-Harddrive is more difficult.
First copy the DIM-file on a MS-DOS-HD-Disc and open drive A
in the emulator and copy the DIM-file on the Atari-C-Harddisc.

- Thanks to Martin Backschat for the free copy of FCcopyPro.
Use it free for copying Roland-Discs.
