Replacing bulb of preset key

Replacing bulb of preset key

2009-01-25 by willgregori

Dear CS-80 friends,

anybody has some advice how to replace a broken bulb in the preset
keys? How do I get the caps off the switches?

What kind of bulb to get then?

Thanks a lot,

Gregor

Hi Gregor,

I just, this minute, did one on mine..!!

The cap tops just lever off. Then, with some tweezers, you can reach
inside and gently pull a small rubber oval off two pegs that carry the
volts. When it is out then you should see that the bulb sits in
between the holes for the pegs - and the wire legs of the bulb fold
back onto themselves and actually go up inside where the pegs go.

I don't know what rating the bulb's are. I suppose measuring the volts
on the pegs might be useful... I just changed mine as I had some
spares that came with my CS80.

Hope this helps anyway....

Cheers,
TOM

Hi again Gregor..

I don't know how often bulbs blow...!? Hope not too often...

And as I have a spare... give me your address and I'll send you a new
bulb. God knows, this list has been amazing when I needed help.

I feel I should do my bit..;^) You can message me off list...

Cheers,
TOM
