So for the heck of it I compared the MP7 presets and the M'PHATT presets from the user manuals and they are not the same. There are no bts presets in the MP7 and they are replaced with kits, prc or other things. The M'PHATT ROM has bts. But what does this all mean....I can't do bts on the command stations ? I'm not sure. Only with a ROM with bts ? I don't know because I have only tried the bts on my XL-1. I guess I am going into the studio to look at my XL-7 with an added M'PHATT ROM and compare that to my XL-1 that I know has bts that works..... Bob Corona/Riverside, CA

Hello, Due to the fact that the bts or riffs are pre recorded phrases into the cards , i can tell you that you can't play beats without having these bts in your cards. So i you have other cards with bts you can assign them to your own presets. If no you must sequence them manually in the sequencer but you can't record these sequence as part of bts. It's the default of this machine ( instead of the Rm1x where you can made your preset and assign them to a sequence wich will be remembered with the "phrase" ). But you can still use the x-mix . Hope that help. "Bob S." <tttsystems@earthlink.net> a écrit : So for the heck of it I compared the MP7 presets and the M'PHATT presets from the user manuals and they are not the same. Sorry , i miss something in my last message: any of the presets can be assigned to a riff or a bts , so go to the arp menu or in the preset edit menu ( botton 15 2X ) and see what riff or beats are available in your card. In the Xlead card there are no bts presets but there are bts "phrases" so you can made your own beats preset? Check the addendum manual v1.31 or 1.32 to see how to control this mode ( bts busy or bts vary is a good feature to make you beats evolving ) Sorry for my poor english. There are no BTS presets with the MP7. I guess they figured if you bought a command station then you want to create your own sequences and not use hard coded ones. There are two Phatt ROMs, the PHATT which comes in the Mo Phatt module has BTS presets, and the MP7 which comes with the Command Station doesnt. Instead of BTS presets they added additional drum kits. On EMU's website there is a patch that will load all the MO PHATT presets into an MP7: http://www.emu.com/support/files/download2.asp?Centric=561&Platform=1 That will get you the BTS presets from the Phatt, but keep in mind it will also overwrite your whole user bank. Hope this helps. DC --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "o0kevskillz0o" <o0kevskillz0o@y...> wrote:
