Ensoniq SD1 keyboard calibration problem.

Ensoniq SD1 keyboard calibration problem.

2009-10-14 by Quazimodo

Hi folks,

I have an Ensoniq SD1 that will not 'calibrate' it's keyboard on switch on. It is the 'newer' hard-wired model.

The older ones and the VFX series had a 'mod' to replace the connectors which connect the two PCB's under the keyboard by hard-wiring them. This cured a common problem with these but mine seems to be component related.

Would anyone know of or have experience of a common component failure on these please?

I have replace a couple of 74HCxxx cmos Hex inverter, de-mux and divider chips already but with no success.

Would anyone out there have a spare keyboard PCB for a VFX/SD ... indeed, does anyone know if the VFX keyboard PCB would work in the SD1..?

Many thanks for any help.

Cheers,
Tom

I have several complete KPC boards available for the VFX/SD1 series.
