I just got one, everything seems to be in order, but it doesnt work. :)
Anyone with access to the service manual, or a .pdf copy of it? I might
need some info, along the way, and there is no REAL roland service in
Croatia, just thieves....

I found the owner's manual on roland US website.
Not a technical manual though. I haven't been able to track down any mention of a service manual either on any sites that feature vintage synth manuals. Maybe there isn't one. Tech. manuals were most common for analog synthesizers where they were still full of standard analog components. The new digital synths are so full of chips and custom-made equipment that only Roland CAN fix them anyways. You never see tech manuals for new synths anymore. But all the old analogs have them. Go figure.

Correction, I did find references to a service manual for sale on some website, but nothing downloadable.
Check through my google search, maybe you have more patience clicking through the dozens of links than I have, since it is actually YOUR synth :)

Hey there. Is the lcd display reading normal, but there is no sound output?
What more info on symptoms do you have? It may be as simple as midi local
is turned off. Be sure to go to your midi menu screen, make sure midi
local is turned on, before you try to buy a service manual or download
one off the internet, which I would be entirely surprised you would find.
The service manual is 30 11"X17" pages, kinda a large file. If all else
fails, email me off-forum as I will try to steer you thru the diagnostic
procedure. Regards, Russ

Hello!

Send me an email. I can send you a D70 service manual!

Best regards
