> Any checked ou the Oberkorn yet ? yes, and like so many other current seqs it has a fatal (to me, anyway) flaw: the cv knobs are *also* gate switches... meaning that if a gate is off the cv still goes to zero. you can get around it, but it makes (i think) two of the three cv rows essentially useless. if you are curious about this machine, i suggest you read the manual carefully before you fork out the cash... > Any other MAQ alternatives ? there has been no end of gushing about frostwave's fat controller on analogue heaven... one of the main culprits having it hooked up to a motm, i believe. personally, i think a nice "maq alternative" would be the combination of a fat controller (for improvisation) and a mobius (for pattern-based composition). the problem with both of these beasts is they don't sync to analogue clock pulses. i'm just gonna wait for the motm seq to do that, and make do using the 120 as a pseudo-seq for now. bleep. out.
