Hi Martin,

Philips seems to be a rather strange one in that regard (well, for me :-)
Whilst dealing with various vendors over the years, I found most will soon
enough,
at one stage or another get you in contact with a "Guru".
With Philips that just doesn't seem to have been the case for me.....
I recall *once* about 8 years ago using a UM1015A or so dual 1 GHz PLL, and
the bloody thing
_would_just_not_work_ as per datasheet. Somehow ended up on the phone with
an
extremely helpful guy inside Philips thru an FAE, but that's about it....

I'd say you'll have to send intricate things to your FAE, and he'll forward
them to
Philips I guess.
If anyone knows of a way that doesn't have a propagation delay of 2 weeks,
I'd love to hear
about it. It seems worse than trying to steer a Mars Lander in real Time :-(

I heard from someone in Philips Applications a few weeks ago, thanking me
for setting up the group, but he was anonymous - using a temporary Yahoo
email account. They were getting fed up with people requesting sample chips
from them. He did arrange for me to get to get some free LPC2106 chips, they
turned up on Xmas eve. 8-) If anyone is having real problems getting a chip
I can provide one from my stash.

For general microcontroller support at Philips send an email to:

micro.support@...

Let's try this again:

For general Philips Micro support send an email to:

micro.support(AT)philips.com (make AT = @)

Hi Martin,

what is your technical question? There are obviously some VERY
knowledgable people in this group. It is also highly likely that
Philips participates in this group as well. So, ask your question and
there is a good chance you will get an answer. May be even from a
Philips technical contact without knowing it ;-)

However, if your question is more about pricing or immediate
availability your best point of contact is definitely Spoerle in
Germany (you have got a .de e-mail)

Guten Tag, Bob
