Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi list!

Does anyone here know what became of it? The original SDS that Dave built 
for the drummer in his band? I seem to recall having read that it was a 
white tabletop unit with one or maybe two channels, but that can be me 
dreaming too...

Is it still around somewhere? What does/did it sound like?

Hi Jesper,
the "Original SDS" is described on two pages in the "Simmons Drum
Book". It consists of a 5 channel desktop unit and a tubular-bell-like
multi trigger pad. I scanned the pages, they are here:

But I don't know anything about what became of it.
