Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi, 

I have an sds2000 and an sdsv that I would like to hook together, can 
I use the individual pad 'outs' on the 2000 to trigger the V?

Or do I need a separate piece of kit to convert midi to trigger?

Im considering getting one of the yamaha electronic kits and just 
using the simmons for retro synth effects - this is because I need an 
electric kit for home practice and recording but I would like electric 
cymbals to reduce the noise - has anybody got any advice/similar 
scenarios/alternative solutions that they would like to share, I think 
a lot of people opted for Simmons drums thinking that they would make 
excelent practice kits - which of course they dont because simmons 
pads are simmons pads and acoustic drums are acoustic drums!
