Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Press and Peel using Brother HL5070

2006-02-16 by chuck mancuso

I'm using a Brother HL1240 with brother cart., GP Image Plus+ pro glossy photo paper.

Iron, a cheapie steam one, on highest temperature. Some problem with copper fills, pin holes, but easily fixed with pen.

No problem on edges of boead, however, the largeat board I've done is only 3 by 4 inches, (76 x 101 mm), most are much smaller. It's been a long time since I've had an unuseable board, knock on wood :o)

Minimum track width I use is 10 mil.

I'm very happy with the TT process. Although, my printer is getting old and will have to be replaced soon. I'm very interested in this tread.

  Good day,

  Chuck

Can somebody post what types of laser printers they are using and what
types of results they are getting? I am interested in:

1. Laser printer manufacturer and model number

2. Consistent transfer ability percentage
3. What type of track resolution you can achieve

Any help would be appreciated. I am thinking to buy a cheap laser
printer so I want to know which one would be the best for my homebrews.
