mounting / matting

2006-02-03 by garyphoto6

Hello,
Being somewhat new to this group and not seeing this question
addressed I was wondering how you are all preparing digital prints for
showing and sales? I assume you are using window matting but how are
you attaching the photos to the backing board? Is anyone dry mounting
the photos and if so what type of tissue are you using? Or are you
extending the photo past the window opening and then hinging the print
with tape or using corner taps? If not mounting has there been any
problem with waves or wrinkles in the print overtime in the frame?
Thanks for you help.
Gary

For all my prints, both ink and "wet" prints, I'm hinging them to the
board. I've tried dry mounting, but don't like the look.
Wrinkles have never been a problem, to me, the change of the surface
structure when dry mount is worse....
