I'm using the spongeless cartridges and the K4 inks. The big cosideration between going spongeless carts verses a CFS unit is the types of paper to be used. If you will be switching back and forth between the Photo black and Matte black inks, the spongeless carts are the way to go. If you print on matte papers only, or if you print on glossy, luster, or semi-gloss papers exclusively, CFS units are great. The spongeless cartridge system works very well. I have had no glitches. The K4 inks are exceptional. Even the Epson canned profile for Velvet Fine works well. I have made a custom profile and it is better though. The black & white prints are exceptional. The black & white prints on the 2400 are great. The print driver offers a ton of control. Steve Burger [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
