I'm glad to hear that you've had at least some success with this
combination.  I also have an Epson 860 with Lyson Quad Black inks, and
I've wasted nearly 25% of my ink trying to get satisfactory results.

All my prints have been way too contrast-y, with hardly any midtones
(but the lighter black inks are definitely firing).  I've tried about
every combination of settings and paper I can come with, but no joy.

Granted, most of my experiments have been with the lowly Photoshop
Elements package (I bought Lyson inks because they supposedly worked
in RGB mode), but I did have similar results with a Photoshop 7 trial
version.

Is this the same behavior you see without Printer Control Management?
 Any advice to help me get up and running?
