Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hey gang, been lurking here for the last 4 weeks and I absolutely 
appreciate the wisdom of many of the posters in this group. Kudos! I 
bought my DTXpressII 3 weeks ago and I can't stay away from it. I've 
already created my own kit, and recently recorded a song. The feel 
of the pads are amazing, especailly with the Ahead drumsticks that I 
used on my acoustics...the take away much of the shock. My favorite 
factory kit is the GM Standard for some odd reason. I just seems to 
be a very versitle kit. Anyways, here's my one question.

Has anyone here considered or tried rotating their Hi-Hat pad with 
the Tom pads every now and then. I just thought of this the other 
night as I was slamming away on the HH pad thinking 'this can't stay 
in this condition for too long', or maybe I'm wrong. Again, thanks 
for having such a wonderful group of people here. Take care!

Regarding rotating the pads, mine get rotated every time I set up and 
tear down. My pads go into a case in random order, and come out in 
random order. I have no idea which  is which.(Except, now that I use 
the TP80S for HiHat, it is always in that position!) If you are set up 
all the time, I suppose you could rotate, but I think they are pretty 
darn sturdy(remembering that with triggers, you don't have to hit them 
as hard as acoustics!)
