Hello fellow AN1x-ers! Since a couple of weeks I have been a member of this mailing list and until now it's been quite an educational/funny/enjoyable experience. Now, however, I thought would be a good time as ever to introduce myself and ask a question while I'm at it. My name is Peter, live in the Netherlands and about a month ago I bought my AN1x second hand through an internet site. Many hours I've spent already trying to get familiar with the hard practice of programming it and have been succesful only once: the sound of wind (whoooosh)! Other than that, my experience in keyboards of any kind, be it piano, keyboards or synths, is not even small, but even tiny. Nevertheless, I sometimes find myself tinkering away and all of a sudden I have a melody. WOW!! I guess I will have a long road to travel before I can remotely have something that other people will also enjoy, but for now I'm having great fun and that's most important to me now. Anyway, my question has to do with midi and cubase sx. On my computer I have a copy of Cubase running, connected to my computer via USB there is a Midiman 2x2 which I have hooked up to my AN1x. Suddenly last week my computer showed me the Windows Blue Screen Of Death while fooling around with midi in Cubase. After some investigating on the net I found out that the drivers to my midi device could be the problem. Updated them, but I still have problems in Cubase, though, that I get a Stop Screen. Does anybody know how I can solve this? Maybe there's a switch in Cubase that I missed? Or is it a general problem of Midiman equipment and I need to resolve it in another way (throw the device out the window, hit it with a sledgehammer)? Anybody's help would be greatly appreciated. Keep on rocking the AN1x, people! Regards, Peter van der Ent
