Subject: Re: [yamahacs80] One voice is less *bright*...?

There are filter adjustments on every Master board on the opposite side
from the tuning adjustments.4 pots adjust the lpf and resonance level
and hpf and resonance level...this would coincide with results that the
"seventh" in rotation is less bright....However given that it only
happens on certain presets it could just be lower levels from the
filtered waves mixed with a louder sine wave with the overall volume
lower.....I would make a preset testing out just sine levels and seeing
if they are similar...then just wide open white noise anf listening for
level or filter differences.... then sawtooth with the same test and
finally just square wave with pulse width down lastly pulse width
full......use the same proceedure to find the culprit M board as you
would for tuning.......I have a jpeg of the M board with adjustment
procedures here somewhere.......If the filter is the culprit...the
sawtooth squaewave and white noise should experience the same drop in
brightness.....Happy hunting
