Subject: RE: RE: Silent key problem

Well, it`s not that I´m lazy guys. My knowledge of electronics is very basic and I don´t want to short anything.

1.Could someone walk me through on an example of B3 or A3 or D4 key  where to measure AT and IT voltages and what should I read?

2. Is TSB2 somehow affected by TSB1 (not recapped yet) or they are parallel and independent?

3. Could my problem come from key connectors at the end of each key - how can I check it.

I would be much obliged for any help.

Well it got a little more complicated when I looked closer to it...

- There is no IT at all on CH1 voice 7

- Keys A3 and H3 are producing much higher IT brilliance than the rest on both channels.

- The D3 is still much silent, also F3 and G3....

TSB2 is rebuilt....

TKC is rebuilt....

The saga continues....One of my keys (D4) seems to produce much more silent sound  on some presets like Electric Piano or Guitar. When I cycle it some voices are even almost completely mute and overall this key produces much more silent sound than the rest. I don't think it's sound card related as on any other key they act just fine. And that same key works normally on other presets like Strings or Brass. Could be velocity related problem -no clue. I have changed already all the IC's on TSB and TKC boards ( but did not recap TSB's).
Could a bad capacitor on one of the TSB's be a cause of tis or it's something else?
